Set permissions
Setting permissions in LUIMS allows users to control who can view, edit, or manage datasets and maps, ensuring secure collaboration and appropriate access to resources.

Open share dialogue
Click the Share button to open the "Share with people and groups" panel on the right.

Set permissions for Anyone
Use the Anyone dropdown to choose who can access the dataset:
- None: Restricts access to logged-in users only.
- View: Allows public viewing, but no downloads.
- Download: Allows public downloads.

Set permissions for Registered members
- Registered members are users with LUIMS accounts.
- By default, they inherit the Anyone permissions.
- You can override this to give them greater access.

Restrict access to specific users or groups
To limit access, set both Anyone and Registered Members to None.

Add user-specific permissions
- Go to the Users tab, search for a user, and add them.
- Use the dropdown to assign their access level.

Add group-specific permissions
- Switch to the Groups tab, search for a group, and add it.
- Set the appropriate permissions using the dropdown.

Save your changes
In the Resource menu, click Save to apply the new permissions.
